Android users can also use Record or Google Assistant to capture Snapchat privately.

iPhone users can use screen mirroring on a Mac or another to look at a screenshot without alerting anyone.

Over the years, there have been various ways to avoid this level. Some other apps can take screenshots for you. Sometimes, screen recording goes under the radar.

Until recently, turning on airplane mode blocked the notification. But either way, Snapchat will fix it.

These days, there’s only one way to catch someone on Snapchat without knowing it: using the camera.

All the other methods in this list are not foolproof and carry some risk that the notification will be sent.

Quick tip: Snapchat sends notifications when your photos are captured for a reason: it helps protect privacy by letting you know who is keeping records of your photos. Before taking a screenshot of someone’s Snap, ask yourself if you are violating their privacy by doing so.

However, keep in mind that this does not work on all phones.

1. On your Android, start a screen recording. You can do this by swiping down twice from the top of your screen to quickly open the Settings page, then select Screen Recording.
