Here’s how to share your Google Calendar with others to organize your schedule.

How to share your Google Calendar with others

  1. Open your calendar on your computer by going to calendar.google.com. Mobile apps don’t allow you to share, so you’ll need to use a computer.
  2. Find the calendar you want to share on the left side of the screen. If necessary, expand the My Calendar section to view all of your available calendars.
  3. Click on the three vertical dots next to the calendar you want to share and select Settings and Sharing.
  4. First, check that the time zone is set correctly on this page. This will ensure that everyone you send the calendar to will see all of your events at the right time.
  5. Scroll to the bottom. If you want to share the calendar with people who don’t have a Google account, click the button next to Make it public. Just be aware that this creates a calendar for everyone with the link, not just the people you share it with.
  1. Scroll down to share with specific people and click Add People.
  2. A pop-up window will appear and you will be prompted to enter your contact email address (or more, if you are sending to a group of people).
  3. Once you’ve added all the email addresses you want to share your calendar with, click the drop-down menu next to each name and select the appropriate option. These are divided by how much (or little) control you give to the person you share the calendar with, including:
  • See only free/active (hide details)
  • See event details
  • Make changes to the program
  • Make changes and manage distribution
  1. Click Send. Note: If you’re sharing your calendar with multiple people at once, they’ll need everyone to click on the link in the shared email they’re sent. Your calendar won’t appear on theirs until they do.
