How to connect Bluetooth headphones to Apple Watch

You can use your Apple Watch to listen to music, podcasts and other audio files stored on the watch when your iPhone isn’t nearby. In this article, we tell you how to connect Bluetooth headphones to Apple watch. Before you can do that, however, you’ll need to pair your watch with a Bluetooth headset or headset.

It’s easy to connect Bluetooth headphones to your Apple Watch to listen to music, podcasts, or other audio files you’ve stored on the watch.


To connect a Bluetooth device, launch the Settings app on your Apple Watch and go to the Bluetooth page.

Once you pair Bluetooth headphones with your Apple Watch, they will pair automatically when you turn it on in the future.

You can use AirPods (which sync with your Apple Watch) or any standard Bluetooth headset.

How to connect Bluetooth headphones to Apple Watch

Put your headphones or earphones in pairing mode. The exact process will vary depending on the model you have, but in general, all you have to do is press and hold the power button for six seconds until the status light starts flashing.

On your Apple Watch, press the digital crown and launch the Settings app.

In the list of devices on the Bluetooth page, tap Headphones when they appear.

If you don’t see them, make sure your headphones are still in pairing mode and make sure Bluetooth is turned on at the bottom of the Apple Watch screen (press the button on the right if necessary).

The headphones should connect automatically and you’ll be ready to listen to audio from your Apple Watch.
