A white powder mixed with bleaching water and spread over the stain absorbs the change of grease as it dries.

1.
Mix 1/4 cup water with 1/4 cup 3% hydrogen peroxide. Add 1/2 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid to the mix to create a foam.

  1. Dip a soft sponge in the peroxide mixture and wipe it off. Remove the grease from the stage, drain and clean a second time if necessary.
  2. Wear a pair of gloves to protect your hands.
  3. Pour 1/2 cup of talcum powder or baking soda into a bowl.
  4. Slowly pour 40% hydrogen peroxide, mineral spirits, or acetone nail polish remover into a bowl, stirring as you go until the mixture resembles thick icing.
  5. Dip a putty knife into the paste and spread a 1/2 inch thick layer over the dirt.
  6. Cover the stain with a plastic sheet. Wrap the sides of the plastic wrap around with masking tape to seal the poultice completely.
  7. Cut a small slit in the plastic wrap to allow the poultice to breathe.
  8. Allow the poultice to dry for 24 hours, then scrape it off with a putty knife. Clean the floor with a damp cloth. 10.
Repeat the poultice application until the stain disappears.
